Kucer is a quiet village near the Orlik reservoir in South Bohimia Czech Republic. Near by are the castles of Zvikov and Orlik which are both interesting places to visit, there is a ferry that travels on the reservoir between the castles. The Orlik reservoir is a great fishing place with Catfish, Carp and Pike. The area around Kucer is great for walkers, cyclists and motorcyclists with fantastic views and wildlife. There are small country places to eat and the prices are very cheap. We stayed at a farm in the village that has been recently converted into beautiful accomodation with En-suite rooms. The farm has off road parking for 6 cars and is called Walnut Tree farm in English or Farma pod orechovym stromem in Czech. Kucer is easy to get to with main roads from Prague almost to the door. Walnut Tree Farm can be contacted through www.czechruralholidays.com we had a very pleasant time there and will return soon.
